Claire Hope is a UK based artist producing narrations of contemporary life as videos and performances. Using actors, action is caught between a sense of the everyday and an awareness of its choreography. Combining original writing, improvisation and existing content from the public realm, what begins as fragmentary is formed into a linear arrangement. These low-budget human dramas rearrange the ambivalences of contemporary culture and experience into overtly designed narrative journeys.
